ಹಂಪಿ ಎಂದೊಡನೆ ಪೇರಿಸಿಟ್ಟಂತೆ ಕಾಣುವ ಕಲ್ಲುಬಂಡೆಗಳ ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳು, ಜುಳು ಜುಳು ಹರಿಯುವ ತುಂಗಾಭದ್ರೆ, ಎಲ್ಲಿ ನೋಡಿದರಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಣುವ ಮಂಟಪಗಳು, ಹಾಳು ಬಿದ್ದ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನಗಳು, ವಿರೂಪಾಕ್ಷ ಗೋಪುರ, ಕಮಲ್ ಮಹಲ್, ಬಡವಿಲಿಂಗ, ಉಗ್ರ ನರಸಿಂಹ, ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ತೇರು ಹೀಗೆ ಅನೇಕ ಸ್ಮಾರಕಗಳೇ ಕಣ್ಣು ಮುಂದೆ ಬರುತ್ತಿವೆ. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಮೂಗು, ಮುಖ ಕೆತ್ತಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಊನವಾಗಿರುವ ಅಸಂಖ್ಯಾತ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳು ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇಕಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಇಡೀ ಹಂಪಿಯೇ ಒಂದು ಮಹಾಭಾರತದ ಯುದ್ಧಭೂಮಿಯಂತೆ ಕಾಣಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
